
Registration is now open for the 2022 SHBE Convention May 13-15!
Our theme this year is Connecting Forward through homegrown education. With a variety of speakers, topics, social times, and resources this convention is sure to be a highlight in your homeschool year.
This convention is for parents and other adults who participate in homeschooling, new and long-time homeschoolers as well as for students ages 14 and up. Nursing mothers are welcome to bring their babies but there will be no programming for children. There is a program planned for teens 14 and up at an additional cost. The conference will be held on the Briercrest campus, in Caronport, lodging is available with registration (bring your own bedding) as well as meals.
Registration includes 1 SHBE Membership. *Memberships are 1 per household (for 1 year).
- Doors open Friday, May 13th at 2:00 pm.
- The convention ends with an evening social on Saturday, May 14th.
- Lodging is available on Saturday night for those who don’t want to drive after the social
- The meals start with supper on Friday and the last meal is breakfast for those who stay until Sunday.

This includes the convention fee for one family (2 adults and their teens) for the duration of the conference, the SHBE membership fee, and snacks/coffee breaks are included. No Lodging or meals provided.

If you would like to share a room with a friend when you choose the all-inclusive rate please put their name on the registration form. The SHBE membership included with the registration will go to the primary registrant. An additional SHBE membership must be purchased for the second registrant, through the SHBE website here.

- Other sessions related to homeschooling.
Plenary Speakers include: Jenn Dean, Kirby Court and Andrew Scheer.
COLLEGE & CAREER FAIR:
Saskatchewan has a lot to offer for post-secondary and after high school options. With an emphasis on what homeschool students need for admissions, funding available, and residence options. Representatives will be there to answer your questions and provide you with the information you need as you begin to think about life after high school. This fair is designed for teens and also for parents who may be looking to learn more about what their children need as they progress through the high school years.We have sessions designed with teens in mind, speakers from exciting careers and a special planning for the future workshop.
*Due to the delay in Convention planning, because of Covid restrictions, we are unable to offer a Vendor Hall this year. There will be coupons online and in the convention booklet.
Used Book Room

The Used Book Room is returning this year! It will run Friday and Saturday and is a wonderful was to get discounted curriculum for next year! Bring your won bags! Cash and cheques accepted.
Interested in selling items?
- Click the Used Books box on the Registration Form
- Out Used Books Coordinator will email you with information on how to label your books
- Price your own materials and attach labels sent to you, so we know what belongs to you
- Drop off your items at the Used Books sale (the time will be emailed to you)
- Last day to register to sell used books is Wednesday, May 11
- Pick up what did not well at the end of the conference
- Payment: cheques are mailed out about 1 month after the conference
- SHBE takes 10% of all sales to help cover costs of running the Used Book Room
- Please only send gently used curriculum and homeschool-related materials (with no writing in the books). SHBE reserves the right to exclude materials they deem not appropriate for the sale.
- Walk-up registrations will not be able to sell items in the Used Book Sale.
