Welcome to the new website for Saskatchewan Home Based Educators!  We are so excited to have you explore our new online home, and check out our biggest website update in a number of years!  

Would you like to know more about our new site?

At the top of this site you'll find many of the same navigation links as our previous website had, but you'll notice some renaming and reorganization has been done.  The content of the site has been updated as well.  We hope you find everything you're looking for here, but if you have any concerns or questions about where to find anything, or if you notice anything that needs a correction (I'm thinking broken links, etc.), please do contact us and we will be happy to address your concern!

Here is a description of what each of the navigation items contain:

Home - Just our basic home page here!  We may from time to time change the available links in the featured content slider at the top of the page, or add additional content directly to this page from other pages on the site

About - Find out everything you may want to know about SHBE's history, what SHBE does, what a SHBE membership is all about, what impact SHBE has had, what rights SHBE supports, and find links to the SHBE Bylaws and information about our non-profit status.

Events - See this menu dropdown to find links to our Calendar, which has a listing of all upcoming events, or see the events individually from the menu dropdown.  Our Convention information and registration pages for attendees will be located under Events going forward.  You will also find our Webinars listed here, including any Zoom links for each, which we currently host regularly throughout the school year.  Coming soon, this is where you will also find a place to share about local homeschooling support groups, co-ops, and one-time or recurring meet-ups!

Resources - Your favorite SHBE resources are all located here in one menu!  Find here some unique new pages that we hope will benefit you in your homeschooling journey.  Resources include pages for Friends of SHBE, our SHBE Journal issues, Recordings from past webinars/panel discussions/homeschool-related productions, a FAQ page addressing the most common homeschooling questions we are asked, a Forms & Templates page that has all your registration and reporting forms in one place, SHBE Board News to update you about all the latest in SK homeschooling news and issues, and a new Helpful Information page that has links to information we think will benefit you (find our Reporting Guidelines for using the forms and templates and other SHBE publications and information posts here!)

Contact - This may be self-explanatory, but here you'll find all the email addresses and contact information you may need to send us mail, contact our Journal Editor, contact our Convention Committee, and a Board Directory to help you easily find support from a board member homeschooling in the same zone you live in!

Support SHBE - This is our newest menu item on the website, and an important one at that!  Here you can donate to SHBE, become a SHBE member directly from our website, and if you are a Vendor who would like to register for our convention, or someone who would like to advertise in our SHBE Journal, you can do so here!  We appreciate your support as we support Saskatchewan's home based educators!

Your Profile - At the far right of the page you'll find an icon for your profile, or a Login link.  You receive a member login when you become a member from our website so you can manage your SHBE membership and interact with our site.  You also may receive a login/profile for interacting in different ways with our site before you become a member.  Clicking the profile icon gives you access to settings, profile information, a list of helpful links, and the ability to manage your membership if you have one, etc.
